KWTX's Brandon Hamilton reported that a 55-year-old man died by being hit by a suspected drunk driver.

According to the Department of Public Safety, "Michael Abel, 55, of China Spring, was traveling northbound on State Highway 317 on his 2003 Harley Davidson when he collided with 56-year-old Ian Ruston."

Ruston was driving his ford pickup heading in the southbound direction of State Highway 317 on Saturday night. Temple authorities said, "Ruston was attempting to make a u-turn when the accident happened."

The impact of the crash caused Ruston to hit another motorcyclist as well, who was on a 2016 Harley Davidson.

54-year-old Vicente Navejas was the driver of the 2016 Harley Davidson, and was taken to Baylor Scott & White Medical Center in Temple with injuries.

Abel who was on the 2003 Harley Davidson was taken to Baylor Scott & White Medical center by helicopter, and was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Investigators of the crash reported Ruston was found with marijuana on him, and appeared to be in a drunken state. Ruston was taken to Bell County Jail, and a warrant for a blood search has been issued as well for Ruston.
