Some people love Christmas for the gifts. If they recieved good gifts, it was a good Christmas. All of those "people" should be kids. If you are an adult and that is how you still think, you fail.

Kids make Christmas. As a kid I remember being watched when I opened a gift. Kind of creepy, but it's how the adults experienced the holiday. Speaking as an adult now, the whole getting gifts thing is a non-starter. If I want something, I buy it. I don't write a letter to Santa, then wait till Christmas Eve, let alone Christmas Day. As we get older, we get closer to death. No time to wait.

The few times I spent Christmas with family, as an adult, it was enjoyable to watch the kids open their presents. Especially the noisy toys. The one you know their parents will start hiding the batteries just for some piece and quite. Those are the toys that uncles buy just to piss off their siblings. Because the look on a childs face is great, but the look on that childs parents face is priceless.

Here's a look at some of the most popular toys from the past 100 years. Yes, I do own a few of them.
