2014 is over. (Or, nearly enough to call it so.) But movies never stop. Here are fifteen movies that we're looking forward to seeing in the next year.

  • 1

    Star Wars: The Force Awakens

Star Wars returns in 2015. Need we say more?

  • 2

    Avengers: Age of Ultron

'Star Wars: The Force Awakening' would be the single biggest event movie of 2015... if not for the sequel to 'The Avengers.' Is the Marvel Cinematic Universe a bigger deal than Star Wars? I guess we'll find out.

  • 3

    Mad Max: Fury Road

A lot of colons in 2015, but that isn't going to stop there being a lot of amazing movies.

  • 4

    Jurassic World

It's time to go back to the Park.

  • 5

    Crimson Peak

It's not lost on me that the first four movies on this list are sequels (or reboots or whatever). But any year Guillermo del Toro makes a new movie, it's going to make my most anticipated list. Not even an official trailer for this one, yet, so you'll have to settle for the director giving you a tour of one of the set pieces.

  • 6

    Jupiter Ascending

This latest Wachowski Starship production has been delayed, what, twice now? That might not be a good sign. Doesn't mean I'm not excited as heck to see it.

  • 7

    Furious 7

R.I.P. Paul Walker, but the supercar superhero superfamily franchise goes on. Let's hope it's a fitting tribute.

  • 8

    Pitch Perfect 2

The first 'Pitch Perfect' was a surprise hit, due in no small part to its cast of supremely talented leading ladies. I have a feeling they'll pull it off again.

  • 9

    Kingsman: The Secret Service

Dumb name? Sure. But it's got Colin Firth as a kick-ass secret agent, so... yeah. I'm seeing this one. No questions asked.

    Ba-ba-ba ba-ba-na-na.

Although plagued by changes of script and director, Marvel's pedigree alone means that I'm still interested in Ant-Man. We don't have any kind of official teaser (and I wouldn't expect one for a couple months, since Marvel's attention is focused on Avengers 2), so here's some two-year-old leaked footage.

  • 12

    The Walk

Philippe Petit's true story is a fascinating one, don't get me wrong, but this one is on this list mostly for the Joseph Gordon-Levitt/Robert Zemeckis star power. That, and its beautiful teaser trailer.

What do we even know about this movie? Not much. But the teaser is very cool, and that, plus the starred cast and crew, is enough to pique my interest.

  • 14

    The Peanuts Movie

I'm not sure that I like the animation style. I'm not even sure it's at all a good idea. But it's happening, and that's worthy of note.

    The Hateful Eight

Quentin Tarantino's eighth film might never have been made after its script leaked earlier this year. Luckily for us, he seems to have decided it was too good to let go.
