Temple Police Investigating Tuesday Morning Shooting on North 2nd Street

Temple police were at the scene of a shooting Tuesday morning.

According to a statement by Public Information Officer Cpl C.M. Wilcox, officers were dispatched to a shooting in the 900 block of N 2nd Street around 7:20 a.m. Arriving officers found a 19-year-old man with a non-life threatening gunshot wound to the arm. The victim was transported to Baylor Scott and White Hospital for treatment.

Police say the teen and the shooting suspect got into a fight before shots were fired. The suspect is described as a black man with a thin build who may have ridden away in the passenger seat of a gray car.
