50-year-old Cynthia Holowatsch remained in the Bell County Jail Monday on a first degree murder charge after allegedly shooting a man Friday morning.

The victim, 26-year-old Roy Linder III, reportedly shared a home with Holowatsch and two other people at 1225 East Avenue H.

Around 11 AM Friday, Holowatsch, who was moving out of the home, returned with another person to collect her things, our news partner KWTX reported. Police were requested for a civil standby to keep the peace, and left after a short time.

Shortly before 11:30 AM, police were called to the home once again after a report of a shooting. They found Linder with a gunshot wound, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Witnesses said Linder and a person helping Holowatsch move got into an argument, during which Holowatsch pulled a gun and shot Linder in the upper body.

Holowatsch was booked into the Bell County Jail Friday at 12:12 PM. Her bond was set at $100,000.

Police have not released the name of the person Linder was reportedly arguing with at the time of the shooting or the four other people reportedly present at the time of the alleged crime.
