Students at Belton High School are helping to fight human trafficking with a new video project they've released alongside the community service project Skills USA.

The students thought the most helpful way to inform the public about human trafficking was to make a video about what it is and how to help prevent it. According to the Temple Daily Telegram, the project belongs to students Baillie Stephens, Lexie Locklin, and Kyla Dermody.

The topic is of major importance to the Bell County community, as central Texas is a hot bed to human traffickers because of it's location along I-35. Cases of abducted persons have been reported to police in Waco, Killeen, and Temple.

The students encourage people interested in learning more to visit the websites www.madeinafreeworld.com and www.slaveryfootprint.org.
