This is a great story about two people from two different walks of life coming together as Americans.
It's a story about a dentist from the Lubbock, Texas area who took a trip to Washington D.C. for the Inauguration of President Donald Trump. The Facebook post from Jason White's own wall tells the story of his chance meeting with a D.C. waitress, and the 625% tip he left on a $70 tab. A tip of $450 bucks. Along with his tip, we wrote this note on her reciept:

White says the $450 tip was a nod to the inauguration of the nation'ss 45th President. Rosalynd Harris didn't expect such an act of kindness when she first saw Jason's party arrive at her diner with their "Make America Great Again" hats on. It was the day after the election, and Rosalynd had just come from witnessing the Women's March in the capital.

Jason and Rosalynd probably live on opposite sides of the political road. It just goes to show kindness can transcend even politics. In fact, Rosalynd said, “This definitely reshaped my perspective. Republican, Democrat, liberal are all subcategories to what we are experiencing. It instills a lot of hope."

The best part of this story if you look into the links here is that it's basically a story of both sides of the aisle coming together and seeing the good in their fellow Americans.

Rosalynd told the Washington Post that the man's words reminded her not to make assumptions. She says so many Americans are looking for unity no matter their politics, and just want to connect with others as human beings.

This story itself shows it's up to all of us to make our country a great place to live, work, worship, and raise a family. God Bless Texas!
