A New Perspective on the Epic Hamilton Pool Preserve

By now you're probably aware of the of the new reservation rule for Hamilton Pool about 30 miles west of Austin. So if you haven't made a reservation yet, you won't be seeing one of the most beautiful swimming holes Texas has to offer until at least July 11.

But you are in luck, you lucky reader you. This past Monday an Austin photographer took amazing aerial photos of the Central Texas masterpiece and you can check them out here.

Austin photographer Mike Holp has a strong social media following for his work, Mike Holp Photography and his latest venture is nothing short of mesmerizing. I felt cooler just looking at his aerial photos of Hamilton Pool.

Hamilton Pool Preserve, described by Travis County as a "legendary swimming hole", is closed for swimming water until July 2nd (tentatively) as there currently are high bacteria levels in the water.
