Enchanted Rock State Park is another one of the Central Texas treasures you'll find with a short drive to Fredericksburg. Opened in 1978, the 1,600 acre property is now owned by the state of Texas and is all yours to enjoy!Enchanted Rock State Park sits between the counties of Gillespie and Llano on the Big Sandy Creek. The park is a national natural landmark, and is on the National Register of Historic Places as an Archeological District.

Take a drive with the family. Maybe you'll come out with even more beautiful photos than the ones above, which were contributed by a Flickr photographer, named Austin.

The park is about 18 miles north of Fredericksburg on Ranch Road 965.
