Accidental Shooting at Local Pawn Shop Sends Man to Hospital

KWTX's Sam DeLeon reported an accidental shooting occurred in Killeen on Thursday afternoon. The shooting happened in the parking lot of a pawn shop slightly before 12:25 p.m..

The shooting happened at the Action Pawn located at 1107 South Fort Hood Street . A spokeswoman for the Killeen Police Department said, " a man was in his car in the parking lot clearing a weapon when it accidentally discharged.

The discharged shot from the man's weapon, struck him in the leg. The man was taken to Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center for the injury he had sustained. There was no further information about the incident at the present time.
