According to the Star Tribune, Adrian Peterson, taking a page from the upper Midwest playbook, is donating $100,000 dollars to aid those affected by the deadly flooding in his hometown of Palestine Texas.

He also pledged to match any donations made to the Salvation Army.

Peterson said his immediate family is OK and was not really affected by the flooding. He added that low income families and local businesses were hit hard because Palestine is not known for flooding.

If you’re interested in donating to the Salvation Army you can text the message “AP28” to 51555 and you’ll receive a link with instructions on how to donate.
