KWTX's Alex Cano reported that a man was caught breaking into in an auto parts store early Tuesday morning in Temple.

The man was caught on camera breaking into the Auto Zone store at 1001 South 31st Street at 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning.

When authorities arrived to the scene, they found a broken window towards the front door of the store. Authorities searched the building top to bottom, but didn't find anyone in the building.

Security video at the store showed footage of the man breaking into the store and attempting to break into the cash register. The man had on a black hoody, gray joggers, black shoes, and black gloves.

The man left the store empty handed when he made the discovery the cash register was empty. A police report from the authorities said it didn't appear anything was taken from the store. Also, the damages done to the store totaled out around $1,000.
