UPDATE: Head Coach Matt Rhule said Tuesday afternoon that Terence Williams has been given a second chance, but senior offensive lineman Ish Wilson and fourth-year junion defensive back Jourdan Blake. Rhule said he "would not get into the particulars" about their dismissal, but said "nothing criminal" factored in to the decision.

Today's athletes use social media to connect directly to fans, sore and more news messages are being released on platforms like Twitter and Snapchat before they reach major media outlets. An instance of that made big waves in college football this week.

According to KWTX, it appears standout Baylor University running back Terence Williams is off the team, as indicated by a social media post.

In what appears to be a Snapchat video, there is a photo of Williams' name badge to his locker and a caption under the photo reading, "It was nice while it lasted BU." After that short statement, there was a peace sign emoji.

Williams claims the coaches weren't happy with his attitude. According to KWTX, Williams may not be the only player receiving the boot from the team. Williams led the team in rushing last year, and the junior missed the first three games of this season with an injury.

Baylor officials had no immediate comments for KWTX, and Baylor University Head Football Coach is scheduled to address the media at 2 p.m. today.
