People's butts are calling police a lot these days.

According to KWTX, local dispatchers are handling around 500 emergency calls a day. 200 of those are unintentional.

Actually, it's not just your butt making the calls. Children are doing it as well. I know when my phone is locked, it still has that "emergency call" button on the bottom. I can't tell you how many times I've hit that.

Plus our work phone is set to fail for emergency calls. We have to dial "9" to get an outside line, then "1" to, of course, start the long distance process. One little twitch, and soon a police officer will be coming in the front door asking if everything is O.K. Nothing more embarrassing to get called up front because you "accidentally" called 911.
