The Belton Tigers look to continue their winning ways on Thursday night, as they go on the road to take on District 12-6A rival Waco Midway in a clash that has potential playoff ramifications. Tony Adams, Sports Editor for The Belton Journal, will have the call from Hewitt's Panther Field starting at 6:50 pm CT Thursday evening on KTEM-AM 1400, ktemnews.com and on the Radio Pup App.

The Tigers have had a pair of heartbreaking losses in their previous District 8-5A trips to Hewitt. Losing 8-7 in 2013 and 2-1 in 2014, Belton won on Tiger Field in the home side of the rivalry.

Belton won this past weekend in a non-district battle with Grand Prairie 8-3, as B.P. White's three-run double and Coby Potvin's two-run triple gave the Tigers the big scores they needed to keep their winning streak alive at four games.

Now at 6-7 overall and 3-0 in District 12-6A, Belton will have deal with a hungry Panthers team that was nipped Friday night by Copperas Cove 4-3, throwing the district in flux.
