Ben & Jerry's announced a voluntary recall for fear of peanut allergies.

Ben & Jerry's announced that the recall is on the Chocolate Fudge Brownie Pint Slices. It seems that some boxes may actually contain Vanilla Peanut Butter Cup Pint Slices. This, of course, could endanger someone with peanut allergies.

Even though the bars are individually wrapped and labeled as Vanilla Peanut Butter Cup, the outside box claims they're chocolate with no peanuts. If a person is not paying attention while preparing the treat, they could come in contact with peanuts.

The product code you need to be on the lookout for is 076840657940, and the best by date is AUG1218LT2. The lot number is AUG1218LT2. The boxes were distributed throughout the country, because it's Ben & Jerry's and they're everywhere.

If you have a recalled box, you are encouraged to stop eating the treats, keep the outer box, and call 877-270-7397 to request a replacement coupon.

Or, second option. Go buy some Blue Bell.
