DALLAS (AP) — Bidding is said to be brisk as the end approaches in an auction for a Texas A&M "12THMAN" specialty auto license plate.

My Plates, the state customized license plate contractor, is auctioning off the 10-year rights to the plate.

The My Plates website showed bidding had reached $35,000 as of Wednesday night. The winner can renew rights to the plate after 10 years for $795.

Bidding ends at noon Thursday and the plate will be presented to the winning bidder during the Texas A&M-Alabama game on Saturday.
