Customers of Dog Ridge Water Supply Corporation in Belton are being advised to boil their water after Thursday's heavy storm knocked out power at a water plant.

The outage lead to the draining of tanks on FM 2410 and a loss of water pressure for many Belton residents. Homes and businesses are advised to boil water for up to 2 minutes in order to ensure the destruction of harmful bacteria. The order will remain in effect until Wednesday, October 8.
