Bomb Squad On Alert

John Carroll, KWTX
John Carroll, KWTX

The McLennan County bomb squad was called to an abandoned house in Beverly Hills Friday after city workers found explosives inside.

KWTX’s John Carroll reports that the work crew noticed an open door at the house just north of Doris Miller VA Medical Center and stopped to investigate. Inside, they found military ordinance, including what appeared to be grenades.

The bomb squad shut down Tulane Street and x-rayed the items. They determined that theĀ items were duds and disposed of them.
