Bra Saves Woman From Stray Bullet
A German woman is lucky to be alive after a hunter's stray bullet hit the underwire of her undergarment, sparing her from serious injury or death.
The 42-year-old cyclist and her husband were riding in a country town near Berlin Friday when they unwittingly rode into the path of a boar hunt. The woman felt a sudden pain in her chest and looked down to see that the wire in her brassiere was bent.
The woman was driven to a hospital and suffered bruising on her chest, but no life-threatening injuries. Police determined that she was hit by a ricochet and that her bra probably saved her life.
The support device was taken into evidence and may be used in court if the hunters are charged with criminal negligence.
