Centex Authorities Arrest Husband of Shooting Victim

KWTX reported that Central Texas authorities on Tuesday arrested the husband of a woman in Waco who was found dead with multiple gunshots. The woman was found in her home in Waco on February 3rd.

Quest Jones, 28 has been charged with the shooting death of his wife, Sherrell Carter, 26. Carter was found on February 3rd around 3:30 a.m. in her home in the 5600 block of Wilshire Drive.

Sargent of the Waco Police Department W. Patrick Swanton said, "Her husband reported the shooting, and detectives believe the murder was in part due to a continuation of family violence from the suspect towards the victim."

Swanton also added, “Mr. Jones has been a person of interest from the beginning of our investigation.”
