KBTX's Hardy Meredith reported that the Centerville Independent School District is investigating into an incdient where an elementary student was left on a school bus the entire day on Monday.

Superintendent Jason Jeitz of Centerville ISD said, "The second grader was left on the bus in the morning, and was found later at the end of the school day." Jeitz said that the bus driver responsible for that shift has been fired for their role in the child being left on the bus.

Centerville ISD is investigating why the child was left on the bus, and Centerville ISD says the child is safe and back in attendance at school. Jeitz said that all faculty members that operate buses will go through extra training to prevent future similar situations.
