Centex Man Indicted for Sexual Assault

KWTX reported that a Killeen man was indicted on Wednesday for aggravated sexual assault of a child in a case where the abused child is now 10 years old. The man responsible for this heinous act is Carlos Maurice Husband, 33, of Killeen. Husband sexually assaulted the girl multiple times, which led to her contracting a STD as well.

Husband is currently in Bell County Jail with a bond of $150,000. The investigation on this case started in late September 2018, and Husband was arrested in November.

A forensic interviewer who works for the Williamson County Child Advocacy Center interviewed the little girl who has been assaulted in this case. The young girl said, “Husband had touched her in her private area beginning when she was 8 years old."

The forensic exam performed by a sexual assault nurse examiner showed that the young girl had gotten chlamydia through the assaults. The young girl also told the examiner that these assaults occurred numerous times. Husband lived with the mother of the young girl from April 2017 until May 2018.
