Central Texas Covenience Store Raided by Police

KWTX's Clint Webb reported that Waco authorities raided a convenience store Wednesday afternoon.

The Waco authorities served warrants to search and arrest on Wednesday afternoon at the Mini-Mart store in Waco. The convenience store is located at 5301 Sanger Avenue.

Waco Police Department Sargent Patrick Swanton said, the authorities were on the scene for an investigation of illegal gambling. Swanton said, "The warrants stemmed from an undercover investigation."

The authorities were looking for the operator of the store on Wednesday afternoon. The operator of the store is facing a charge of upkeeping a place of gambling; which is a Class A Misdemeanor.
