Central Texas Fighter Makes Home Debut

KWTX reported that homegrown Central Texas talent is going to display her talents in the octagon back home for the first time this Friday,

Waco Midway graduate Hailey Cowan is going to have her 2nd professional MMA fight right here in Belton at the Expo Center.

Cowan will be facing Sha Whittington in LFA 52 at the Bell County Expo Center Friday night. Cowan's last bout in the ring was in Dallas in May, where she suffered a tough loss to LFA 40.

That was her first professional fight; and Cowan went undefeated during her status as an amateur fighter. Cowan said that she actually fought through a foot injury in the loss to Whittington.
