Central Texas Firefighters Escape Fatal Injury in Crash

KWTX reports that two volunteer firefighters in the Central Texas area escaped serious injury after their truck overturned Sunday.

After the back side of their truck was hit while responding to a call, the vehicle swerved and came to rest atop a parked backhoe.

The two firefighters that were involved in the collision were taken to a local hospital, where they were treated and released a short time later.

The accident occurred shortly before 6:00 p.m. near the Riviera Apartments on the 9900 block of China Spring Road.
