What a voter turnout! See all the favorites in the contest below.

First off, we'd like to thank you for submitting some of the cutest/coolest/artsy-est photos featuring bluebonnets. The flowers were blooming and with over 150 submissions, it became evident that our community is proud to live in the lone star state and willing to showcase that pride all across the interwebz!

Because there were so many submissions, we felt there was a need for at least two winning photos. So we're proud to present our winners of the Bluebonnet Photo Contest. Both winners will take home a family 4-pack to Six Flags Over Texas - a perfect adventure for when summer hits.

First place is bestowed upon Lisa Thorne and her camera "ham" of a doggy, Elyse, from Killeen. The photo of Elyse in the bluebonnet field won hands down, accounting for 36% of 1,300 total unique votes.

Our second-place winner was Wes Albanese who shared a very professional looking close-up of the most popular flower in Texas. Wes' photo grabbed 20% of all votes in the contest.

Dogs were certainly the most popular among photos last week so we had to include the runner-up photo taken by Nicki Losa who accumulated 16% of 1,300+ votes.
