The City of Temple released a press release today stating that Avenue U from the 11th Street intersection to 5th Street will be closed to through traffic to allow for construction of a new roadway.

The fun begins on Wednesday, February 1, and will take around four-and-a-half months to finish. Access will be available for property owners, but there will be no parking allowed along the street. The map shows a detour route which utilizes Avenue T and Avenue V.

13th Street from Loop 363 Frontage to Fryers Creek Circle will also be out of commission to allow for construction of a new roadway. This road will be closed for around two-and-a-half months starting on February 1. Traffic will be detoured to Fryers Creek Lane, also via the new Avenue U and 13th Street roadway, which is accessible from Scott and White Blvd and South 15th Street.

Access to The Arbors Apartments will be limited to the north entrance only, and no on-street parking will be allowed on this section of 13th Street.
