15 year old Carla Fontes hadn't cut her hair since intermediate school. In high school now, she is a pretty good wrestler.  Her coach at Waiakea High School in Hawaii, Stan Haraguchi, thought all that hair was getting in the way of the sport.

The two bet that if Carla lost a match, Coach would cut her hair.

Carla won three in a row but last week she lost.   So Coach got the scissors.

And Carla’s waist length hair is now shoulder length.    Check out her after picture here.

Okay good job, bet over, loser paid up.

No so fast. Carla never told Coach Stan that her Mom DID NOT want the hair cut.

When Mom found out what happened she went ballistic.

"I'm shaking," Arlette Fontes told the Hawaii Tribune-Herald

"My daughter's hair went all the way down her butt before. Now it looks like a rat has been nibbling on it. That's a piece of her, gone. A piece of her body."

Arlette Fontes said she will pursue charges against Coach Stan. Police are investigating and Coach has been suspended.

But what does Carla think?  According to the newspaper report,  Carla loves wrestling and wants to get a college scholarship out of it. She is now worried that she will be blamed by her teammates for whatever happens to their coach  She said she wishes that her hair wasn't cut, "but it is what it is."

So what do you think about what the coach did??
