Construction Worker Killed in Central Texas

KWTX reported that a construction worker was killed on Tuesday on a Central Texas highway while working.

The death occurred on a highway in Leon County on Tuesday. The man who was tragically killed in this fatal accident was Jess Lavergnei, 22.

Levergnei was picking up road signs on Tuesday around 6:45 p.m., and a vehicle heading in the eastbound direction of Highway 7 struck him.

The vehicle struck Levergnei near on State Highway 7 near Centerville. The Department of Public Safety is hard at work on this case, and there were not charges immediately filed for the driver of the vehicle.
