Copperas Cove School Bus Overturns in Major Accident

A Copperas Cove school bus was overturned after being hit by a car Friday afternoon.  Six people including three children were taken to local hospitals.

KWTX reports the accident happened around 3:45 p.m. at FM 116 and Highway 9 in Copperas Cove.  Early reports indicate the car ran a stop sign and hit the bus, which was carrying three special needs children.

The drivers of both vehicles, the children and an attendant were all taken to Metroplex Hospital in Killeen.

The five occupants of the bus suffered minor injuries.  We have no word on the condition of the driver of the car.
