Cove Woman Attacks Man on Toilet

Elizabeth Arlene Canning was arrested and charged with continuous violence against the family after she allegedly attacked a man while he was using the toilet Friday night. Bond was set at $10,000.

According to an arrest affidavit, Canning was mad at the man for not answering his phone while at work. He came home around 11:30 p.m. and was using the bathroom when Canning entered the room. She allegedly yelled, spit in his face, and pushed the bathroom door in his face. When he stood to leave, Canning began to choke him.

The man eventually pushed Canning off and left the residence. Officers observed redness on his neck.
