A little piece of TV history is coming to Austin.

AP News is reporting that Matthew Weiner, "Mad Men" show creator, along with the production company Lionsgate, have donated the Mad Men archive to the University of Texas.

The donation includes scripts, drafts, notes, props, costumes, digital video, and plenty of research materials that went into creating AMC's version of '60s America.

Everything will be stored in the Harry Ransom Center humanities library. The donation was just lucky. Weiner was in Austin attending a film festival when he visited the "Gone With The Wind" exhibit. It inspired him to make the donation.
