Driver Killed in Crash with 18 Wheeler

KWTX's Matthew Ablon and Ke'Sha Lopez that a driver lost their life after being involved in a car accident with an 18 wheeler on Saturday morning.

Police Chief of the Hewitt Police Department, Jim Devlin said, "the driver of the Dodge Challenger ran a red light on Enterprise Boulevard toward Sun Valley Drive, crashing into the 18-wheeler coming across the bridge from Robinson."

The driver of the 18 wheeler was uninjured in the accident, and quickly called 911 around 8:20 a.m..

A crash reconstruction team came out to the scene to help clean up the wreckage, and the name of the driver that lost their life is being released till their immediate family is notified.
