KTRK reports that Easter egg hunting isn't just for the kids anymore down south in Lake Jackson, Texas.

Lake Jackson Parks & Recreation is holding its third annual Adult Flashlight Egg Scramble. Since the event was announced to the public, another field had to be added to make accommodations for the over 900 people that have signed up to participate in the event.

Three fields, 900 people, 10,000 Easter eggs, and $9,000 worth of prizes. The eggs will contain vouchers for gaming systems, 4K HDTVS, laptops, vacations, outdoor supplies, and other big people prizes.

If you feel like taking the drive down there, take a flashlight and a bag to grab eggs in the dark conditions of the MacLean softball fields. The event takes place March 29th at 93 Lake Road in Lake Jackson.

The gates open up at 7:45 p.m. and the scramble begins at 8:30 p.m.. Anyone who is even a minute late will not be allowed through the gates.

Since the first year of this event, the amount of participants has doubled. Director of Lake Jackson Parks & Recreation, Jeremy D. Bubnick said the event is the most exciting 90 seconds of the year in the area.
