SALADO GOES TO THE DOGS
The Salado Chamber of Commerce will host the 2nd Annual Dog Daze of June on Saturday, June 8th from 9 am – 12 pm in beautiful Pace Park along Salado Creek. The Dog Daze will host an array of animal themed vendors, as well has treats for the pups and humans. Admission to Pace Park for the Dog Daze is free to all animals, humans cost $1.
Returning again this year will be the Military Dog Demonstration Unit from Ft. Hood, TX. The crowd will be wowed by the strength, agility and command of these military police dogs as they perform their “take-down” techniques for spectators.
To add to the enjoyment of Dog Daze, the Pace Park Pooch Parade returns! For $5, enter your dog in the parade that shows off their best features and vie for your chance to win the coveted Grand Marshal for next year’s Pace Park Pooch Parade!
A portion of the Dog Daze of June proceeds will go to the Wounded Warrior Project to help recovering veterans match up with trained service dogs to help them with their daily activities.
