The public is invited to come out and enjoy Fort Hood Hunting and Fishing Day, September 14 from 6:30 am- 3 pm at the Sportsmen’s Center (Bldg. 1937 Rod & Gun Loop).

There will be a Fishing Derby from 6:30 am- 8:30 am and an Archery Shoot at 9 am. Both events are free; however, you must bring your own equipment and applicable permits.  For only $2 a round, you can participate in a turkey shoot at the skeet range at Bldg. 1943.  The last event is the turkey calling contest for adult and youth categories from 12-2 pm.

Don’t miss out on the BBQ lunch served from 11 am- 3 pm. Meals are $7.50 adults and $3.75 for children 12 and under. The day will end with an awards ceremony and door prizes at 3 pm.
