Additional Information

The City of Killeen is giving you the chance to turn in your overdue Library materials with no late fees during the month of April.

Take the items to the Main Library or Copper Mountain Branch Library along with a nonperishable food or pet food item, and all overdue fees will be waived, bring your library card or other identification to verify the account.

Patrons referred to Municipal Court for overdue materials may participate in the amnesty program and have their court fees waived unless a bench warrant has been issued. It gets a little more complicated if there is a bench warrant .  Then you must go to Municipal Court and pay a $30 fee to clear the warrant.   Then turn your late items in at the library with no additional charges.

Amnesty does not apply to lost or damaged materials.  Those items must be paid for in full.

The Main Library, located at 205 E. Church Avenue, is open Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Tuesday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The Copper Mountain Branch Library, located at 3000 S. W.S. Young Drive, is open Monday and Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Killeen Municipal Court, located at 200 E. Avenue D, is open weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

For more information on the amnesty period, contact the Library at 501-8996.
