The Contemporaries are volunteers for the Cultural Activities Center. They provide funding in suppirt of the performing and vusual arts with a major focus on opportunites for children to participate in activities that will stimulate lifelong interest in the arts.
The Star Spangled Spectacular is their first fundraiser of the year and is a celebration of the 200th anniversary of the writing of the Star Spangled Banner. Guests can expect a delicious sampling of brunch recipes from the Contemporaries Cookbook, music, students from both Temple and Belton at their patriotic best, and local personalities modeling fashions from Dillards. Betty Thrasher, our local treasure and fashion expert, who has choreographed fashion shows for many charitable organizations, is orchestrating this year's event. The CAC is truly a gift to our community and to insure the next generation will be able to enjoy it, needs your support. Please join us for an exciting morning both elegant and fun.
