Temple Parks and Recreation will host a New Year’s Eve lock-in to offer a safe place for children to have fun, as they ring in 2015. The lock-in will take place from 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 31, 2014 – 7:00 a.m. Thursday, January 1, 2015 at the Wilson Park Recreation Center (2205 Curtis B. Elliott Dr.) in Temple.
“This is our inaugural New Year’s Eve lock-in and it will offer everything kids love to do: play games with their friends, eat pizza and stay up late,” said Camp Director, Robert “Peanut” Henderson. “While we are waiting for 2015 to arrive, the kids will have a blast playing games such as dodge ball, human foosball, or participating in a climbing wall challenge. Many more activities are also planned to keep the kids busy all night long!”
The lock-in is designed for children ages 7-14 years old and costs $20 per child. Quiet Rooms will also be available for kids that do not want to stay up all night. Trained staff will be on-site to provide supervision throughout the night.
