Cool off this Saturday, July 5^th during the Beat the Heat Free Family Day at the Temple Railroad & Heritage Museum from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Help us celebrate UV Safety Month with tips on how to be safe from the sun’s rays during these hot summer months.

The museum will host activities to help keep the entire family cool, while having fun. Activities include an indoor balloon volleyball game, summer themed crafts and a lemonade stand! Barrel train rides will also be offered, dependent on weather.

The Temple Railroad and Heritage Museum hosts a free Family Day event on the first Saturday of each month. Admission to the event is free. Regular admission charges apply to view the rest of the museum.

The museum is located in the Santa Fe Depot at 315 West Avenue B in downtown Temple. The museum is open 10 am – 4 pm, Tuesday – Saturday.
