FedEx Freight is delivering 275 real Christmas trees to Fort Hood Thursday, December 8 as part of its Trees for Troops program, and they're free to active duty soldiers.

The trees will be delivered to Hood Stadium and given out on a first come, first served basis.

Soldiers E-4 and below can pick up their tree between 9 AM and Noon, while soldiers E-5 and above can get theirs between 1 PM and 4 PM.

FedEx, the Christmas SPIRIT Foundation, and tree farmers from across the U.S. have been teaming up since 2005 to deliver Christmas trees to troops stationed across the U.S. and overseas. Over the pas 11 years, they've shipped more than 176,000 Christmas trees to service members and their families.
