Deborah McKeon with the Temple Daily Telegram reports that four Temple High School students required medical assistance between 12:00 p.m. and 12:30 p.m. on Thursday afternoon.

Spokesmen of the Temple Independent School District, Christian Hernandez, said that the campus staff acted quickly on helping the students.

Scanner traffic said four students overdosed at Temple High School. Hernandez wasn't certain of these cases being related with the students needing medical attention earlier in the day.

Emergency crews were sent to the school, and the campus was put in an emergency status during the incident. Authorities and medical figures checked out the students who had overdosed.

The reports didn't display if the students were taken to the hospital, or the present status of their conditions. Gates to the school were on lockdown at 1:00 p.m., and there has been no futher information on the incident.
