United Way of Central Texas and its community partners* will kick off their annual Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program on Monday, January 29.

The program is open to those making less than $50,000 per year, people with disabilities, the elderly, and limited English-speaking taxpayers in need of assistance. VITA volunteers are IRS certified.

Veshell Green, Director of Public Relations for the United Way of Central Texas, says the program is also seeking volunteers as greeters, tax preparers, and reviewers.
