A man who sexually assaulted a Bell County child is behind bars almost a decade after he fled the state. 40-year-old Steven Dwight Morrow was charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child in 2008 after he had indecent contact with an 11-year-old boy in a Harker Heights home. He pleaded no contest to the charges and was ordered to return to court for sentencing, but he fled the state.

Morrow was recently arrested in Elma, Washington. He was transferred back to Texas when officers discovered that he was named in a felony warrant issued by Bell County in 2011. He is currently being held in the Bell County Jail with $200,000 bond.
