Sadly, counterfeit bills are passed every day, and most are sophisticated and intricate fakes almost indistinguishable from real cash.

That's not the case here.

Harker Heights police this week warned that hundred dollar bills meant for use in movies have been spent in our area. Most of us probably don't take too close a look at the cash we're handed, especially if we're in a hurry. However, these fakes are easy to spot, as they have 'MOTION PICTURE USE ONLY' printed across them in a large font.

If you receive any of these bills or spot them anywhere, you're asked to contact Harker Heights police at (254) 953-5400.

That, or start looking around for cameras. Maybe you're in some sort of elaborate 'The Truman Show' scenario.
