We love local businesses and the entrepreneurial spirit behind them, so when we heard a veteran owned market in Harker Heights needed support, we had to help get the word out.

So Natural Organic Restaurant & Market in Harker Heights is contending for a $25,000 reward from Sam's club and SCORE, which owner Luvina Sabree (a registered nurse) says would go toward subsidizing the market's free tastings and demonstrations with which they introduced customers to the benefits of making smarter food choices.

So Natural offers vegan, Paleo, and gluten-free food, a juice & smoothie bar, prepackaged meals, and a small market with handmade bath and body products. Best of all, they use ingredients from local gardeners, farmers, and ranchers whenever possible. They hire and train at-risk youth, and provide diet support and tips to diabetics and diners trying to be heart healthy.

If you want to help them out, click here to head over to the SCORE Awards website and vote! So Natural was recently in fourth place, and they could use our help to get to first and stay there. You can vote 10 times per hour from any device. Let's show SCORE that we support and value local businesses in Central Texas!
