The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor will host a health fair in the Mayborn Campus Center Arena this Friday from 10 am- 2pm.

This is the University's largest health fair to date and will offer the public free glucose, blood pressure and cholesterol screenings.

"Not everyone knows if they have something like diabetes and some can't afford regular screenings," UMHB nursing student Melanie Muldrow said.

The idea is for nursing faculty and students to help educate the community as well as provide needed services.

Health Quest will also provide information on vision, weight loss and cancer prevention as well as spinal and back assessments. Subjects from dental health to nutrition will be covered at booths run by local hospitals and clinics.

Over 60 vendors will be represented and door prizes include a Google tablet provided by Montgomery Chiropractic.

The fair is open to the general public.
