A beloved Central Texas community tradition is back again this year as HEB prepares to host its annual Feast of Sharing in Temple, Killeen, and Copperas Cove.

Temple's Mayborn Convention Center at 3303 North 3rd Street will host the Feast on Thursday, December 1 from 4PM to 8PM.

On Tuesday, December 13, the Killeen Convention Center at 3601 South WS Young Drive will host the Feast from 4PM to 8PM as well.

Finally, the Feast will move to the Copperas Cove Convention Center at 1206 West Avenue B, also from 4PM to 8PM.

The Feast of Sharing is free and open to the public. It features a free turkey meal with all the trimmings, dessert, and drinks. There'll also be a Winter Wonderland with children's activities and crafts, a visit from Santa, and live music.

The event is part of HEB's continued efforts to bring community members together and to combat hunger.

If you've never been to a Feast of Sharing, you really need to make it out this year and see how much incredible work goes into the event. Just to give you some idea, here's a breakdown of how much food just ONE Feast of Sharing serves:

  • 3,000 pounds of sliced turkey
  • 2,500 pounds of cornbread dressing
  • 750 pumpkin pies
  • 380 gallons of mashed potatoes
  • 140 gallons of turkey gravy
  • 95 gallons of cranberry sauce

The food is always delicious, and there's always a place at the table for families big and small. We hope to see you there!
