Helicopter Crash Sends Pilot to Hospital

KWTX's Rissa Shaw reported that a pilot of a small privately owned helicopter crashed Thursday evening.

The crash occurred in nearby Navarro County, and the pilot was flown to a hospital.

It happened near the southeast region of the county in the vicinity of Highway 287 and FM 309 just east of the Richland Chambers Reservoir.

Sheriff Elmer Tanner of Navarro County reported that the pilot's injuries didn't look to be to serious. There was no further information on the crash at publication time.
